- Serves as Supervisor Telecommunications Specialist/Position of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Network and Telecommunications Services (NTS), Telecommunications Operations Division in the Voice and Video Services Branch.
- Responsible for developing, evaluating and ensuring implementation of Information Technology's technical concepts, policies and procedures related to voice and video provided systems and services.
- Provides Continuity of Operations (COOP) models to specified government components as required ensuring the continued functioning of voice and video services under all conditions.
- Provides timely and thorough status reporting to upper level management and clients.
- Maintains awareness of DLA's changing priorities and making adjustments to support current priorities.

To qualify for a Supervisory Telecommunications Specialist, your qualifications must include:

Experience:
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in- grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: - Participates in working groups and has authority to make operational and planning decisions to resolve telecommunications conflicts and issues.
- Performs a wide range of duties to include plans, analysis, development, and coordination, as well as evaluation of current contingency telecommunications plans.
- Performs system management responsibilities to ensure authentic call accounting utilizing the extensive knowledge of IT (Information Technology) equipment, TMS (Telephone Management System) equipment and associated call detail collection devices.
- Analyze software compatibilities/capacities to be consistent with present and planned telecommunication infrastructure.
