Responsibilities
- Analyze legacy system data structures and define conversion strategy and mapping rules.
- Create staging tables, validation scripts, and automated data transformation routines.
- Prepare test cases for dry runs and reconciliation.
- Conduct unit, system integration, UAT, and cutover testing.
- Perform data quality checks before and after migration.
- Work with functional consultants to ensure converted data meets business rules.
- Prepare conversion design documents (MD50, MD70), mapping sheets, and validation scripts.
- Maintain conversion logs, error reports, and reconciliation sheets.
- Provide go live cutover support and post production troubleshooting.
- Work with cross-functional business teams to gather requirements.
- Coordinate with DBAs and infrastructure teams on performance tuning.
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues to project managers and stakeholders.
- Strong experience in Oracle EBS R12 architecture.
- Expertise in PL/SQL, SQL, Unix shell scripting.
- Experience using Oracle APIs, open interfaces, and data migration tools.
- Knowledge of Oracle Forms, Reports, Workflow, and OAF (optional but preferred).
- Familiarity with ETL processes and large-volume data handling.
