POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager of IT and Informatics is responsible for administering, coordinating, and reviewing the performance of IT functions across the organization, including infrastructure and solution opportunity recommendations and vendor liaison. This position also includes coordination with our providers for onboarding and at-the-elbow support. This person is also responsible for addressing escalations from the third-party MSP Provider, which may consist of on-call availability outside core business hours.
This leader seeks to identify and implement new and emerging strategies to increase efficiency, improve processes, and enhance the patient and employee experience. As part of achieving these goals, this role identifies opportunities to work with leaders in other areas to ensure regulatory compliance, increase care coordination, and improve process efficiency between departments and entities. The Manager of IT and Informatics reports to the CNO and engages in successful collaboration with employees and leaders across the organization.

Requirements EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics or related field experience (5 years healthcare admin) required
- Clinical background or formal education in health-related discipline (e.g., nursing, allied health, clinical informatics) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Cerner / Athena EMR applications is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and customer service skills are required.
- Extensive experience with hospital information systems, including EHR/EMR, PACS, RIS, LIS, pharmacy systems, and clinical decision support tools
- Strong understanding of clinical system integration
- Ability to translate clinical requirements into technical solutions and understand clinical documentation, order entry, medication administration, and other clinical workflows
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, data centers, cloud platforms, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability systems
- Proficiency in cybersecurity, identity access management, and data protection for clinical systems
- Experience overseeing IT service desk operations, system upgrades, and downtime procedures
- Requires a high level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and demonstrate the appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
