We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team and lead the modernization of our data ecosystem. This role will focus on migrating on-premise systems to the cloud, consolidating data warehouses, and designing scalable architecture to support advanced analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure
, data migrations
, and modern data warehouse design
, along with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Migrate current on-premise systems to the cloud
• Consolidate data warehouse and processes
• Design new architecture models for specialty risk
• Improve pipeline logic and automation
• Implement reporting solutions
• SQL Server migration to cloud
• Use Databricks to consolidate pipelines
• Participate in infrastructure and pipeline testing

• * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• * 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering with on-premise and cloud data platforms
• * Highly effective in communicating complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
• * Develop and improve existing data models to accurately represent end-to-end business processes, ensuring they're scalable and fully integrate with the extensive data architecture
• * Proven experience designing and building large-scale data platforms.
• * Implement best practices in data modeling, Dev Ops, ETL/ELT processes.
• * Drive automation and CI/CD practice in data engineering workflows.
• * Experience in Data Modeling tools such as Idera, ERWin
• Preferred
  
  Skills:
• * Expert level (hands-on) knowledge and understanding of recent versions of Microsoft SQL Server 2016, SSIS, Stored Procedures
• * Strong expertise with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Synapse Analytics
• * Data Modelling - dimensional/reporting, data warehousing and transactional use cases (Physical and Logical modelling)
• * Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, or equivalent
• * Nice to Have
• * Hands-on expertise with Snowflake and related technologies in the Snowflake ecosystem (dbt/Fivetran etc.) for both batch & streaming use cases.
• * Experience in test automation tools & frameworks:
  Selenium, Webdriver
  
  IO, Appium, Browser Stack
