HR is growing, and we’re seeking an experienced HR Director Consultant to join our award-winning team. This is a part-time, W-2 employee role with a consistent, ongoing schedule, working onsite with clients during normal business hours.
This is not a side gig or 1099 contract role. It is an opportunity for seasoned HR leaders who enjoy advising, building, executing, and partnering closely with clients to solve real business challenges while maintaining flexibility and work-life balance.

What You’ll Do
As an HR Director Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor and hands-on partner to clients across a variety of industries.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic and tactical HR consulting based on each client’s needs
- Advise business owners and senior leaders on complex and sensitive HR matters
- Act as a working consultant, balancing strategy, project management, and day-to-day HR execution
- Lead and support HR initiatives including policy development, compliance, and training
- Manage and implement HR systems (HRIS/HCM/ATS) and process improvements
- Guide clients through organizational change, performance management, and employee relations
- Conduct workplace investigations and support corrective action processes
- Influence culture, engagement, and leadership effectiveness
- Collaborate with Connected
HR and Connected
TALENT teams to share expertise and best practices
- Minimum 10 yearsof progressive HR Business Partner or HR leadership experience
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred
- Strong emotional intelligence, executive presence, and communication skills
- Solid business acumen with the ability to align HR solutions to operational goals
- Ability to travel locally to client sites throughout the Cleveland metro area
- Professional, confident, and collaborative approach
Demonstrated expertise across core HR disciplines, including:
- Strategic business and workforce planning
- Project management and systems implementation
- HRIS/HCM system selection and implementation
- Policy development and regulatory compliance
- Leadership development and succession planning
- Performance management frameworks
- Employee relations and workplace investigations
- Compensation and benefits strategy
- Onboarding and recruitment strategy implementation
- Employment laws and regulations (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.)
- Part-time flexibility with consistent client engagement
- Variety of work across industries and organizational sizes
- Ongoing mentorship and support from a seasoned HR consulting team

Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000annually (based on full-time equivalency)
Compensation is prorated based on the number of days worked per weekand experience.
