Human Resources Manager will support internal teams by handling several functions such as safety, workers compensation management, compliance, and internal hiring.

  • Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
  • Develop, interpret, explain, and monitor the administration of policies and procedures.
  • Be involved in various HR projects and activities as assigned, such as policy development, unemployment compensation, etc.
  • Determine new workers compensation codes.
  • Manage onboarding process for internal and external candidates.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide support and guidance to members of management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Source, screen, interview, and assist in the selection of internal employees.
  • Respond to Unemployment claims.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
  • College degree in Human Resources field required; PHR Certification highly desired.
  • Five years' experience in HR or business administration.
  • Three years’ safety experience.
  • Multi-state and compliance experience.
  • Proficiency with computer software programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing projects, calendars, deadlines, and priorities.
