Laundry Attendant

Job Summary

We are looking for a Laundry Attendant who will be responsible for collecting and washing hotel beddings, towels and cloths. They will also fold and distribute these items to designated destinations.

• Operate and monitor washing, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
• Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or machines and place in clean linen carts
• Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load. Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, filters, and drain trap after each load
• Fold cleaned articles into designated size, either by hand or using folding machine
• Maintain accurate records of items laundered
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

• Regular attendance is essential
• May be required to work varying schedules and holidays
• Required to fully comply with the hotel's rules and regulations
• No formal training required
• Some experience in safety material handling and cleaning procedures is a plus
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
• Standing or walking for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
• Maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance
