SummaryConducts day-to-day administrative operations for the Graduate Medical Education Office (GME) or designated department, and supports the services provided to residents, fellows, rotators, observers, medical students, residency programs, and employees of The Metro Health System. Executes all administrative processes necessary to maintain The Metro Health System’s accredited status with various educational, federal, and local accreditation bodies. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The Metro Health System.
Responsibilities- Maintain day-to-day administrative operations for the GME office or designated department.
- Support services provided to residents, fellows, rotators, observers, medical students, residency programs, and employees.
- Execute administrative processes necessary to maintain accreditation status with educational, federal, and local bodies.
- Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The Metro Health System.
- Required:
- Associate Degree in Business or related field.
- In lieu of degree, 3 years of experience with undergraduate or graduate medical education or related experience.
- Notary Public commission or must obtain within 12 months of hire.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes in the work environment.
- Available to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
- 5 years of experience with undergraduate or graduate medical education programs.
- Physical Requirements:
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently; may need to sit or stand for extended periods.
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction; hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
- Finger dexterity to operate office equipment.
- May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
- Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other formats.
- Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
