Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a current OH or compact RN license and strong PCU/Stepdown background.

Job Details

• Position is on a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting,

• Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00am to 7:30pm,

• Patient caseload is typical of PCU/Stepdown acuity,

• Every other holiday is required,

Job Requirements

• Active, permanent OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration,

• Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent experience in PCU or Stepdown required,

• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• Acceptable score required on ECG rhythm recognition test and safe Medicate during orientation,

• One reference from a supervisor in the PCU/Stepdown specialty required,

• No open background check cases or license hits allowed,

• Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start,

Additional Information

• Two attempts are allowed for passing the ECG and safe Medicate assessments during orientation,

• Permanent and per diem candidates must wait at least one year before returning to work at the facility,

• Annual modules are required and must be completed as directed,

• Candidates will need to complete onsite badging and fingerprinting prior to the start date,

• PAPRs are not an alternative for caregivers with facial hair unless a medical or religious exemption is approved,

• Nurses are temporarily exempt from the nicotine-free requirement,

• Extensions up to 18 months possible with a mandatory 6-month break between subsequent assignments, unless client waives the break,

• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate,
