SummaryObtains, collects, labels and transports various laboratory specimens to appropriate laboratory sections, under supervision. Performs a limited number of basic laboratory procedures. Operates the laboratory information system. Performs EKG’s.
Formal Education Required- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Six months phlebotomy experience.
OR
- Completion of Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Program (MA) or equivalent, with certificate, preferred.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to manipulate phlebotomy equipment, other specimen equipment and laboratory computer equipment.

Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
- Sedentary:
Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
