highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics. - Provide peer‑based support, encouragement, and guidance to individuals in recovery from
addiction and/or co‑occurring disorders. - Meet with clients regularly, adjusting frequency of contact based on client needs and in
consultation with a supervisor. - Assist clients in crisis situations and provide stabilization support when needed.
- Educate clients on recovery models, available resources, and pathways to long‑term recovery.
- Connect clients with community resources and help them build supportive sober networks.
- Promote client empowerment through self‑advocacy, development of life skills, and activities that
encourage independence - Support clients in identifying barriers to recovery, setting personal recovery goals, and developing
individualized Recovery Support Plans. - Guide clients in navigating the healthcare system and coordinating services with other providers
and agencies. - Accompany clients to meetings, appointments, visitations, or court hearings as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring confidentiality of client information in
accordance with agency guidelines. - Participate in required meetings, trainings, and program assessments; support compliance with
funder requirements. - Collaborate with other professionals and maintain ongoing communication with community
partners and support networks. - Meet established productivity standards while modeling recovery, adhering to the Certified Peer
Supporter Code of Ethics, and demonstrating consistent reliability and professionalism. - Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or
required. - Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team‑based work environment and a culture of
belonging. - Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Supporter (or ability to obtain certification in accordance with
state requirements) or Youth Peer Recovery Supporter. - Lived experience in recovery and ability to model and promote long‑term recovery.
- Strong knowledge of community, county, and court resources preferred.
- Prior work or volunteer experience as a Recovery Coach or in a peer support role preferred.
- Mission driven; strong desire to make an impact
- Effective interpersonal skills; able to speak effectively with individuals and/or groups of people
- Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment
- Flexible; able to work days, evenings, and/or weekends, as desired to meet the needs of clients
- Strong organizational skills; able to handle multiple priorities with strict attention to detail and perform work independently.
- Ability to maintain relevant, timely documentation as required
- Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records, etc.
- Must be able to access work locations, offices, and homes as necessary, which may include ascending/descending stairs.
