Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

Job Details

• Work on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital environment,

• Night shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00,

• Orientation includes an ECG rhythm recognition test and safe Medicate assessment, which must be passed,

• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate,

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio or compact RN license required at time of consideration,

• Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required,

• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications must be active,

• Must provide one supervisory reference from the specialty area,

• Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) required within 12 months of start,

• No open background check cases; facility does not accept any license hits,

• Candidates must complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing contract,

Additional Information

• Responsible for caring for Med/Surg Telemetry patients and performing ECG rhythm monitoring,

• Travelers must work at least every other holiday as assigned,

• Permanent and per diem staff cannot return to facility for one year from previous end date,

• Assignments may be extended up to 18 months, after which a 6-month break is generally required,

• PAPRs will not be available for caregivers with facial hair unless medically or religiously exempt,

• Badging and fingerprinting must be completed onsite prior to the start date,
