Physical Therapist – School Setting – Part-Time (Cuyahoga County)
North Coast Therapy Associates (NCTA) provides comprehensive, student-centered therapy services both in person and virtually. Our team of dedicated therapists work collaboratively with educators, families and other professionals to provide evidence-based, individualized, and comprehensive support ensuring that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Position Summary:
As a school-based Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality physical therapy services within an educational setting. You will be responsible for evaluating children across different grade levels, planning interventions, and developing instructional plans tailored to meet their specific functional and educational needs.
General Information
- Hours:
Full-Time positions available within school hours (~8am – 4pm) - Pay Range: $40-$50 per hour
- School District:
Various Schools in Cuyahoga County (e.g. Euclid, Independence, Garfield Heights)
* Potential to combine with the Lorain County Position to make it full-time, if desired.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload
- Work together with and provide supervision to PT Assistants
- Conduct assessments of children to gather information for goal setting, intervention planning and consultation
- Collaborate with the educational team to contribute to individualized education plans that address the functional and educational needs of each child
- Provide dynamic interventions to help children build essential life skills, excel in education and enhance their abilities for success
- Collaborate with the educational team and families to embed skill building activities into daily routines; both in the classroom and at home
- Documentation and data collection of ongoing therapy
- Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures
Qualifications include:
- Current licensure within the state of Ohio to practice Physical Therapy
- Strong Assessment and intervention planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for working with children and helping them overcome developmental, education and motor challenges
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Preferred Qualifications
- Ohio Department of Education Certification
- Experience working as a Physical Therapist in a school or educational setting
