Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 base + performance bonus
Reports To: Managing Director

We are seeking a Director of Hospice Operations to fully own hospice operations across the agency. This role is for a nurse operator
, not a task-focused clinical lead. The ideal candidate understands hospice clinically but leads through strategy, operations, accountability, and results.
You will oversee clinical operations, compliance, team performance, census growth, and financial oversight, allowing executive leadership to step out of day-to-day hospice management.
Key Responsibilities- Own hospice operations end-to-end, including clinical oversight, compliance, staffing, census growth, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with CMS Hospice Conditions of Participation, state regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Lead and develop interdisciplinary teams with a balance of compassion and accountability.
- Drive sustainable census growth through community partnerships and operational improvements.
- Manage hospice budgets, metrics, and operational efficiency.
- Make timely, sound decisions aligned with agency goals.
- Stable, well-run hospice operations.
- Reasonable, sustainable census growth.
- Strong survey readiness and regulatory confidence.
- A high-performing, accountable team.
- Minimal executive involvement in daily hospice operations.
- Active RN license (required).
- Proven hospice leadership with operational responsibility.
- Strong regulatory, compliance, and case management knowledge.
- Comfort with hospice financials, census metrics, and performance indicators.
Preferred: Hospice startup, turnaround, or multi-site leadership experience; graduate degree.
