Job OverviewGain excellent, well‑rounded experience as an MRI Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma Center. - Produce quality MRI images in a variety of settings

- Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatient
- Maintain safety measures in MRI environment including implant investigation
- Educating patients regarding MRI safety, screening process, procedures, equipment, and exam

The MRI staff work closely with nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all Metro Health patients.

Siemens 1.5 T
- All MRI scanners are ACR accredited
- All MRI Technologists credentialed through ARRT or ARMRIT
- Perform a variety of technical procedures utilizing MRI scanning equipment for diagnosis of diseases in humans
- Provide a safe and supportive care environment for patients undergoing procedures involving the use of MRI, while assisting radiologists and nursing staff during those procedures
- Function in a multipurpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with Metro Health System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology/MRI program
- ARRT MRI or ARMRIT credential or obtains within one year of employment (cross‑training support provided)
- BLS certification from the AHA or obtained during the standard probationary period
- Previous MRI experience
- Advanced certification through ARRT or ARMRIT in MRI
- Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARMRIT
- Good background and knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day
- May need to lift, pull, or push over 50 lbs.
- May need to sit or stand for extended periods
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
