Vice President Finance​/Controller

A growing, multi-entity retail, e-commerce, and manufacturing platform is seeking a VP of Finance / Controller to lead accounting, reporting, and operational finance. This is a newly established role within a small to mid-sized portfolio structure operating with private equity discipline and strong financial oversight expectations.

This role is heavily GAAP accounting focused with meaningful responsibility across inventory, cost of goods sold, and consolidated reporting. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, comfortable in a lean environment, and capable of strengthening financial processes while remaining directly involved in the details.

• Lead accounting operations including month-end close and financial reporting
• Prepare and oversee multi-entity consolidated financial statements
• Ensure GAAP compliance including revenue recognition, inventory and lease accounting
• Oversee retail and manufacturing cost accounting and variance analysis
• Manage inventory accounting for raw materials, WIP and finished goods
• Improve COGS accuracy and gross margin reporting
• Partner with operations and sales on forecasting and demand planning
• Oversee treasury, banking relationships and cash management
• Coordinate external audits and maintain strong internal controls
• Drive ERP optimization and system improvements
• Support lender reporting, valuations and acquisition accounting

• Hands‑on GAAP accounting experience in retail, e‑commerce or manufacturing
• Strong inventory and cost accounting background
• Experience with multi‑entity domestic and international consolidations
• Background in small to mid‑size platform environments
• Experience leading audits and lender compliance
• Ability to build process, structure and accountability
• Comfortable operating in a hands‑on leadership role
