Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Bedford Heights, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for managing high-volume invoice processing and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of incoming invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.

- Match, batch, and code invoices to facilitate timely payment processing.

- Write and issue checks for approved invoices.

- Review vendor statements and reconcile any discrepancies efficiently.

- Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.

- Generate and distribute accounts payable reports to relevant stakeholders.

- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any discrepancies. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Vista or Quick Books, and Microsoft Excel.

- Ability to handle high volumes of invoice processing efficiently.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.

- Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

- Familiarity with matching, batching, and coding invoices.

- Ability to manage check runs and resolve payment discrepancies.

- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
