Staff Accountant – Cleveland, OH

Hybrid: (4 Days/Week Onsite, 1 Day / Week Remote)

Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant Analyst to join our Cleveland office. This role is primarily onsite and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the finance team in a fast-paced legal environment. While corporate accounting experience is required, prior experience in a law firm setting and with Aderant is strongly preferred.

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Support accounts payable, cash application and billing functions as needed.
• Collaborate with attorneys, staff, and management to resolve accounting inquiries
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and client-specific billing requirements
• Assist with tax compliance and ensuring payments are made on a timely basis
• Prepare various analysis and other ad hoc projects
• Support financial reporting and audits as needed

• Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience in a corporate setting; law firm experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Aderant is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Competitive compensation: $55,000 – $75,000 annually (dependent on experience and relevant skill sets)
