A privately held consumer products group with a portfolio of growing brands is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations across multiple business units. This role will oversee all financial functions including cost accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership. Brands under the group sell across direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels.

This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic finance and detailed operational accounting in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and cash management

• Own and manage month-end close, financial reporting, and forecasting processes

• Implement and maintain standard costing systems; analyze cost variances and margins

• Partner with operations to manage inventory and cost-of-goods tracking across brands

• Support pricing and profitability analysis for eCommerce and wholesale lines

• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP

• Coordinate with external partners for audits, tax filings, and banking relationships

• Provide financial insights to support CEO and executive leadership decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including cost accounting in manufacturing

• Experience supporting multi-channel consumer product businesses (eCommerce, wholesale)

• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a lean accounting team

• Excellent financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting skills

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
