Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in finance or related field, or commensurate experience. Five (5) years of lending experience in private banking, business banking or commercial lending with a demonstrated history of sourcing new business opportunities is required. Understanding of legal and regulatory issues associated with the lending function, as well as documentation requirements is necessary. Ability to analyze financial and operational strengths and weaknesses of business entities and high-net-worth clients, including key risk factors, industry trends, sources of repayment, cash flow, and ability to service debt is essential.
Strong analytical, organizational, and customer service skills are required. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player are also necessary. Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required. Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel is required. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required. Candidates being considered will be subject to additional background checks as required by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Preferred qualifications include a proven history of calling on high-net-worth clients in Northeast Ohio, credit/underwriting experience, and understanding of collateral, valuation, perfections, and liquidation.
- Sourcing and developing new client relationships to include loans and deposits.
- Gathering financial and credit information and working with credit analyst and underwriter to underwrite loan proposals.
- Administering and maintaining loan portfolio.
- Meeting annual loan production goals plus associated deposit goals.
- Ensuring that proper and complete loan documentation is prepared and executed.
- Managing workouts.
- Referring business to other asset areas of Dollar Bank.
- Establishing and executing an annual business plan and goals with the objective of fostering bank growth through mutually beneficial account relationships.
- Representing Dollar Bank in professional associations, community, and civic functions in an advisory or active capacity with emphasis on maintaining and developing business relationships.
- Overseeing loan portfolio as to risk management loan considerations to maintain quality control and minimize losses.
