Role OverviewThe Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for executing analysis activities required for the business and strategic planning of the company, supporting business units, executives, and other cross‑functional departments. This position is a primary source of financial information, analysis of operating results, identification of trends, and explanation of variances from forecast or operating plan.
Essential Functions- Analyze financial results and provide insights to aid decision making at senior management and board level.
- Design, generate, and communicate meaningful reporting and interpretive commentary, including financial metrics and operating key performance indicators.
- Play a central role in forecasting and annual planning processes for the entire business.
- Develop and maintain models to support capital decisions, acquisitions, or other strategic and operational choices.
- Assist in preparing schedules to support CFO activities, external SEC quarterly reporting, and key complex reserves related to periodic close process.
- Own the company’s financial decision support tools, including budgeting/forecasting software, financial reporting tools, and various Excel models.
- Identify and manage the resolution of company financial and operational process improvements.
- Evaluate decisions and recommend profit improvement, reconciling impact and providing management narratives.
- Prepare monthly management narratives on financial results and present to upper management.
- Conduct ad‑hoc analysis and special projects as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Certifications or licenses required for the role (e.g., CPA, CA).
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Proficiency with technology tools, including Excel and financial modeling software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
