Overview

Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation & Compliance
  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized tax records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions.
Tax Research & Analysis
  • Research tax laws, regulations, and rulings to determine their impact on the organization.
  • Analyze financial data to identify tax savings opportunities and risk areas.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to management.
  • Support tax planning initiatives to optimize the company’s tax position.
  • Assist in developing strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maintaining compliance.
  • Participate in forecasting and budgeting activities related to tax obligations.
Audit Support
  • Assist with internal and external tax audits.
  • Prepare schedules, respond to auditor inquiries, and provide necessary documentation.
  • Ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work with accounting, finance, and payroll teams to ensure accurate tax reporting.
  • Provide guidance on tax‑related matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Support month‑end and year‑end close processes as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Experience with tax preparation software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Public accounting or corporate tax experience.
  • Familiarity with ASC 740 and tax provision calculations.
  • Experience with multi‑state tax filings.
