* Position Overview:
** Th Funding and Investor Settlement Specialist is a dual-role position responsible for overseeing the funding of residential mortgage loans and supporting the investor settlement process, ensuring loans are accurately and efficiently settled with investors. This role plays a critical part in tracking funding milestones, verifying documentation and wire instructions, and supporting accurate investor reporting and reconciliation.

* Job Responsibilities:
*** Review closed loan packages to confirm completeness and compliance with regulatory and investor guidelines.
* Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate timely and accurate disbursement of funds.
* Verify wire instructions and initiate funding transactions through approved systems.
* Track loan funding milestones and update loan status in the Loan Origination System (LOS).
* Proactively resolve any issues or discrepancies that may delay funding.
* Assist with the preparation and execution of investor settlement processes, including verifying loan data, settlement terms, and remittance details.
* Collaborate with servicing, post-closing, and secondary market teams to ensure accurate and timely investor reporting.
* Reconcile settlement documentation in accordance with investor agreements and compliance standards.
* Maintain up-to-date investor settlement logs and reports to support operational accuracy and transparency.
* Support the resolution of investor-related issues during the settlement and post-settlement phases.

* Qualifications and Skills:
*** High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Experience working with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or private mortgage investors, preferred.
* Exposure to loan servicing or investor reporting systems, preferred.
* Understanding of escrow, reconciliation, and wire procedures, preferred.
* Knowledge of investor settlement procedures, investor delivery, or post-closing, preferred.
* Solid understanding of mortgage lending procedures, loan documentation, and mortgage funding operations, preferred.
* Working knowledge of investor settlements within the secondary mortgage market, preferred.
* Knowledge of secondary market or investor-related processes, preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word to create and manage spreadsheets, use formulas, and handle data tracking effectively.
* Familiarity with LOS platforms (Encompass).
* Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
* Skill in managing multiple tasks efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
