Overview
Position Summary The Accounting Manager will oversee all financial bookkeeping, reporting activities, and internal accounting functions. The role involves managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management using Quick Books and Excel. The person in this position will work closely with the organization’s leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and operational improvements, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial processes.

Salary$65K-80K

Key Responsibilities- Perform daily accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and ledger management.
- Prepare and present timely, accurate financial reports, including monthly and annual statements.
- Coordinate with external CPA firms for tax filings and annual audits.
- Support organizational budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
- Maintain internal controls and safeguards for revenue and expenditure management.
- Manage grants and foundation invoicing ensuring compliance.
- Oversee corporate credit card transactions and fraud prevention.
- Support strategic financial goals and performance measurement.
- Prepare reports for Board of Directors and Finance Committee.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in general accounting, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Proficiency with Quick Books, Excel, and payroll systems such as Paycor.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
