EY’s Financial Services Organization (FSO) EDGE practice provides dedicated tax technical services to US and global clients. EDGE stands for Exceptional Delivery and Growth Engine, operating in a technical environment with deep process and service delivery experience. EY’s FSO EDGE State and Local Tax practice delivers comprehensive and specialized tax assistance tailored to client needs.

• Deliver tax compliance and consulting work for clients, identifying issues and escalating needs to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Analyze an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
• Identify opportunities and risks and communicate them to clients.
• Learn and research current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
• Develop clear plans to improve clients’ tax activities and build long-lasting client relationships.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals and share information across practices.
• Maintain professional reputation by updating and sharing technical knowledge and best practices.

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline or a graduate degree in Tax or Law.
• Progress towards CPA or Enrolled Agent license.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in professional services or tax.
• Understanding of automated tax processing systems and relevant tax laws.
• Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills with ability to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to continuing learning.

• Understanding of state and local partnership tax.
• Proficiency in Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with return preparation software.
• Experience working in diverse teams and ability to adapt work style with internal and client teams.
