Position: Music Hall VIP Host
Job Type: Part‑Time
Schedule: Flexible, nights and weekends
Salary: Hourly plus commission

Responsibilities- Maintain line of sight and control of the venue atmosphere during shift.
- Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards.
- Assist other employees as needed.
- Follow opening and closing procedures and check out with the manager on duty.
- Adhere to all HOB policies and procedures.
- Handle cash and payment processing at the point‑of‑sales terminal.
- Occasionally work at special events scheduled within the venue.
- Sell Opera Boxes, bottle service, and reserved stools in advance of every show, aiming to meet monthly sales goals.
- Be present at shows to upsell available VIP inventory to concert patrons.
- Serve as a resource of information for VIP clients, providing details about the House of Blues venue, concert times, and parking.
- Give proper recognition to Foundation Members, Live Nation Executives, and VIP clients to build strong relationships.
- Coordinate operations on show nights with the Operations Director, servers, and security to execute nightly VIP setup.
- Ensure guests receive highly personal service at all times.
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship need.
- Attention to detail.

- Clean, well‑groomed appearance.
- Punctual attendance with a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms.
- Knowledge of high‑end restaurant or VIP nightclub operations and guest relations.
- Diplomacy, multitasking, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced work environment.
- Cash handling experience.
- Point‑of‑sale knowledge, preferably MICROS.
- Willing to commute to downtown area; discounted parking available.
- Fast‑paced, hot and/or loud environment.
- Position requires extended standing and time on feet.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs. using proper techniques.
