We are seeking an Advisor, Environment Operations - Waste to support sustainable waste management practices and environmental compliance across operating Business Units, focusing on support for our U.S. utility operations. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory partners to help ensure waste handling activities align with regulatory requirements and corporate sustainability goals. This position exists to strengthen environmental stewardship, waste reduction, and compliance across operating business units.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide day‑to‑day environmental support to operations teams, aligned with organizational safety, reliability, and environmental objectives
  • Review, develop, and update procedures, guidance documents, and training materials to support regulatory compliance
  • Communicate waste management requirements with cross‑functional teams, field personnel, waste vendors, and environmental colleagues
  • Develop and facilitate environmental and waste‑related training for field and project personnel
  • Independently develop and review internal waste management plans
  • Research and summarize U.S. environmental waste regulations and requirements
  • Support data collection for annual compliance and sustainability reporting
  • Review and classify waste streams, including interpreting laboratory and analytical data when required
  • Coordinate waste scheduling and communicate with vendors regarding transportation and disposal
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and support safe work practices across teams
What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably within the energy or pipeline industry
  • Working knowledge of environmental waste regulations applicable in the United States
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with U.S. EPA and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). including RCRA, PCB rules, and the Clean Water Act
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and environmental data or reporting systems
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Working Conditions
  • Office‑based role with less than 10% travel to office or field locations

For US only
: $83,000.00 USD– $/year USD.

Physical Requirements

Grasping, kneeling, light‑to‑moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect colour coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to work in tight spaces.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office)

Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short‑term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
