We are seeking a Senior Hydraulic Modeler to join our team as a Senior Project Manager to lead and inspire a talented group of professionals. This is a hybrid position that will be part of our Dublin, Ohio office, but has the flexibility to work rout of any of our Ohio offices.
As a Senior Hydraulic Modeler , you will support project teams in executing and pursuing projects within the local and regional water, wastewater, and stormwater markets. You will also participate in local professional groups to help grow our practice.
What You’ll Do:Manage diverse, fast-paced projects involving multidisciplinary teams utilizing professional staff in multiple office locations
Develop and maintain client relationships as primary or secondary client contact for projects
Lead in the development of strategy, the scope of work, and budget for projects and lead presentations as part of client interviews/selection
Perform engineering activities for stormwater and wastewater collection system modeling, evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies, design, and construction.
Lead this team with an entrepreneurial spirit by presenting at industry conferences and building professional relationships with permitting authorities
Lead safety culture within the project team, including following safety protocols for all projects
Actively manage project metrics, WIP, AR and risk
Supervise and provide work assignments to the project team
Prepare, provide technical input, and/or review technical plans and reports
Maintain overall project quality consistent with company and professional standards
Plan and execute work tasks, as well as oversee tasks of team members, to meet project deadlines
Mentor staff in required technical skills
Communicate effectively and proactively with management, peers, and clients
Possess detailed knowledge of regulations in the area of practice
Motivate and encourage others and help the team achieve success
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
10 plus years of experience working in a civil engineering and consulting environment and 5 of those years managing a diverse set of projects
Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio
Extensive experience with PCSWMM, Sewer
GEMS required, and HEC-RAS preferred.Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies, and modeling of stormwater and wastewater collection systems.
Ability to manage tasks and projects, train, and delegate workflow to other employees.
