Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a Direct Hire with a client in Cleveland, OH. This role requires an electrical engineer who can deliver innovative repair solutions while supporting motor and generator design needs.
Salary Range: $80K/Yearly to $120K/Yearly;
The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Provide electrical engineering support for coil manufacturing and traction motor repair, ensuring all work meets customer specifications and industry standards.
- Reverse‑engineer motor and generator coil designs, perform RCFA, and develop engineered technical solutions.
- Lead or support quality improvement actions, using CIPS tools to strengthen productivity, safety, and process compliance.
- Develop and implement training materials, technician work instructions, and electrical repair best practices.
- Support complex electrical issues across the North Region and assist sales teams with technical guidance and customer communication.
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (other degrees may be considered with equivalent technical experience).
- Preferably 5+ years in electrical motor design, maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience performing RCFA/FMEA and developing engineered solutions for motor and generator failures.
- Strong ability to provide technical support to operations and sales teams, including customer communication, reporting, and training.
