Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager

At Jacobs, we help communities gain access to safe, clean water and effective wastewater treatment. This role focuses on leading Water and Wastewater projects in Southeast Michigan, providing innovative solutions for clients while mentoring staff and expanding business opportunities.

You will lead local project teams, manage project budgets and schedules, mentor staff, develop long‑term client relationships, pursue new work, and carry out strategy development, positioning, proposal, and contract negotiation activities.

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, master planning, conveyance and storage, or related processes and technologies.
• Proven multi‑discipline design management experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self‑motivated initiator who succeeds under challenging conditions.
• Project management experience on water/wastewater infrastructure study and design projects.
• Strong client relationship building abilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• More than 15 years of progressive engineering and project management experience.
• Master’s Degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
• Process mechanical design experience and willingness to serve as discipline lead on an ad‑hoc basis.
