This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the best candidates.
Responsibilities- Be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, gaining familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
- Help design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, working closely with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world-class solutions for new facilities.
- Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to produce control system designs and develop options and optimizations for process control, instrumentation, and automation.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering
- At least 2 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control
- Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other controls applications (preferred)
- Experience working with Data Centers (preferred)
- Engineer in Training (EIT) (preferred)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Ability to learn quickly and broaden knowledge base
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
- Passion for buildings and construction
The base salary range for this position is $69,500.00 to $95,500.00 per year. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
