Join the HDR Transportation Hydraulics Project Manager role. HDR is a leading consulting engineering firm dedicated to creating inclusive, sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities- Lead project delivery for state, municipal, and local water resources clients focused on flood mitigation, stream restoration, and transportation drainage.
- Oversee technical design, quality control, and schedule/budget performance for all phases of projects.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the HDR Transportation Hydraulics Group through market share expansion and client base diversification.
- Manage and mentor small to medium professional teams, coordinate with subconsultants and client stakeholders, and ensure project execution aligns with HDR’s delivery practices.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports, visualizations, and presentations for complex hydraulic modeling and hydraulic design projects.
- Assist with business development activities including client relations, marketing pursuits, and project proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required.
- Ohio PE required.
- Minimum 7 years related experience and 4 years of Project Management experience.
- Experience in water resources planning, hydrology/hydraulics, and drainage/flood control design.
- Successful project leadership and strong leadership, planning, mentoring experience.
- Proficiency preparing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports, scour investigations, erosion and sediment control plans and reports, drainage, stormwater design, NPDES permitting, cost estimates, and specifications.
- Experience with standard drainage analysis and design packages including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro Station Open Roads Designer, Storm
CAD. - HEC‑RAS 1D/2D and/or SRH‑2D river modeling experience is preferred.
- ArcGIS Pro and HEC‑HMS experience is preferred.
- Project experience and existing relationships with ODOT and Ohio transportation clients.
- Local Ohio candidates are preferred.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographic location.
(Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions. Temporary and part‑time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Pay Transparency Ohio $115,010 - $164,300.
