Build and Maintain Excellent Student Culture
* Supports Administration in defining the vision, expectations, routines, and procedures of student culture for early childhood education and middle school, while using metrics to monitor progress periodically throughout the year.
* Works with student leaders and staff to ensure consistent implementation of the vision, expectation, routines, and procedures of student culture.
* Leads the school in creating and maintaining a system for implementing effective restorative conversations and practices.
* Supports Administration to plan and execute student opportunities, including but not limited to: field trips, student conferences, student leadership opportunities, and family engagement opportunities
* In collaboration with the Student Support Team, progress monitor Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions (as needed) and work with teachers to adjust course when necessary
* Creates goals and progress monitor teacher effectiveness with upholding consistent culture and systems
* Assists Leadership with staff and student recruitment

Professional Growth and Responsibilities
* Assists the principal in the following including but not limited to: the transformation of the school culture into a results-oriented collaborative learning community; planning and implementing a professional development/growth program for teachers and staff; monitoring compliance with federal, state, and local mandates and guidelines related to local and state testing programs and the local special education programs.
* Observes school personnel for the purpose of monitoring performance, providing for professional growth and achieving overall objectives of school's curriculum.
* Responds appropriately, maintains composure and possesses a professional demeanor to any situation at all times.
* Encourages students to grow as human beings and to develop academically.
* Collaborates in the planning and implementation of a systematic method of supervising and evaluating the instructional program through the use of learning walks, observations, documents, and follow up conferences.
* Participates in Student Support Team meetings to ensure the academic and social needs of the students are being met.
* Collaborates with staff on developing and implementing strategies that maximize student learning.
* Models effective instruction and classroom management when requested.
* Assists Administration with the planning, proctoring, and monitoring of assessments.
* Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as required by Stepstone.
* May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events, specific projects, or program changes.
* Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
* Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and present the agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.
* Maintains regular attendance and the confidentiality of students or collateral interaction within Stepstone's defined standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
* Computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic database usage, as well as moderate level typing and the ability to operate computerized office equipment.
