Manages the comprehensive student employment services program for on-campus and off-campus work opportunities. Oversees student employment posts, hiring, changes, and file maintenance and processing of employment forms and documents. Coordinates with various colleges and departments on issues related to student awards and compliance with the Federal Work Study Program ( FWS ). Participates in preparation of related reports and audits. Oversees CSC courses related to on and off campus internships.
Interfaces with Cleveland State University ( CSU ) colleges, departments, external community groups and organizations to develop, promote, and support experiential learning services and programs. Supervises assigned student workers. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in higher education, business administration or related field.
- Minimum three (3) years increasingly responsible student employment, human resources, payroll or student services experience.
- Experience with an ERP , specifically with maintaining data records and maintenance of system.
- Master’s degree in higher education, business administration or related field.
- Experience with a student administration business system in a higher education setting.
- Experience working with complex budgets, including federal or state funding agencies.
- Experience with auditing processes.
- Experience working with student employment including Work Study Programs and procedures.
- Training experience.
- Knowledge of state and federal student aid policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Knowledge of budget reconciliation principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery.
- Skilled in writing reports.
- Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.
- Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and work as an individual contributor and an effective team player, in addition to being highly organized, self-directed, and forward-thinking.
- Ability to work with CSU constituencies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and Power Point .
