Overview
Daycare Lead and Assistant Teacher with a $1,000 Sign-on Bonus at the St. Clair location. We are seeking a highly qualified Daycare Lead and Assistant Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children, and you will work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment for all children.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years experience working with children in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
- CPR/First Aid or Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA) upon hire
- Ability to pass BCI/FBI and ODJFS Background Check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and parents

Preferred Qualifications- Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field with 1+ years experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all children
- Create and maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and families about their child’s progress
- Supervise and support assistant teachers and aides
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children’s progress and development
As the Daycare Teacher, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, families, and staff. You will also need strong organizational and time management skills to plan and implement curriculum, a deep understanding of child development, and the ability to apply that knowledge to create a developmentally appropriate curriculum. You should be able to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all children.

- $15 - $18.50 per hour (Based on teaching experience and credentials)
