Clinical Learning & Development Specialist
Note:
Ad‑hoc/situational on‑site requirement in Brooklyn, Ohio.

Roles & Responsibilities- Delivers and facilitates a variety of training programs (new hire, systems guideline/criteria, core competencies and remedial/refresher training) to clinical, administrative and management staff.
- Identifies learning objectives and selects or develops appropriate training programs/classes using various delivery formats including eLearning, instructor‑led, blended learning, educational materials and evaluation tools.
- Defines measurable results produced from training programs and evaluates effectiveness, including cost/benefit analyses.
- Participates in analyses to determine specific training needs for clinical staff and develops classroom and online training.
- Acts as a resource to department managers and SME training staff to identify development needs and solutions.
- Keeps up to date on new and emerging industry processes, technology and best practices and shares with management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business, healthcare administration, education or related field (equivalent education and experience may substitute).
- 3 years progressive experience in health plan case management or utilization review, including training and curriculum development.
- Current, unrestricted license in Ohio as RN, LPN, LISW or LSW.
- Certification in Case Management, Training, Project Management or a nationally recognized health‑care certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of clinical management programs and health plan operations.
- Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards, with the ability to apply them to operational guidelines.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office, claims management and/or clinical operations systems and online learning authoring skills.
- Foundational knowledge of adult learning principles and translation of business objectives into developmental goals, client solutions and effective training activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Organizes department initiatives and coordinates the delivery of CLD services to the division.
- Develops and facilitates a variety of training programs (new hire, systems guideline/criteria, core competencies and remedial/refresher training) to clinical, administrative and management staff.
- Identifies learning objectives and selects or develops appropriate training programs/classes using various delivery formats including eLearning, instructor‑led, blended learning, educational materials and evaluation tools.
- Defines measurable results produced from training programs and evaluates effectiveness, including cost/benefit analyses; reports results and manages ongoing process improvements related to evaluation outcomes.
- Acts as a partner to department managers and SME training staff to identify development needs, offers solutions, and orients, trains, coaches and mentors CLD Specialists and department SMEs in training design and delivery skills.
- Conducts analyses to determine specific training needs for clinical staff and designs and develops classroom and online training.
- Keeps up to date on new and emerging industry processes, technology and best practices and shares with management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business, healthcare administration, education or related field (equivalent education and experience may substitute).
- 5 years progressive experience as a Clinical Learning & Development Specialist or equivalent experience in health plan case management or utilization review, including training and curriculum development.
