Reports to: Tricia Matune, Regional Director of School Operations

AboutThe Role
The Director of School Operations (DSO) is a key school‑based leadership team member. The DSO ensures that all non‑instructional aspects of the school run smoothly, allowing the Principal and Dean of Curriculum and Instruction to focus fully on teaching and learning. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, results‑driven, and committed to our mission.
Key Responsibilities Finance & ComplianceEnsure Catholic education is financially attainable for all families.
- Process and track Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Reconcile AMEX statements
- Manage ODE attendance reporting
- Track scholarship checks and reconcile with ODE portal
- Manage school flex budget using Intacct
- Process tuition invoicing via FACTS
- Complete and upload the weekly deposit tracker
Ensure successful onboarding and retention of all school staff.
- Manage onboarding using Network checklist
- Coordinate staff benefits and pensions with central team
- Host regular check‑ins and professional development for the Ops team
- Track time off and credentialing via Paycor and network systems
- Lead school‑based operations performance framework
Enable instructional leaders to focus on learning and culture.
- Maintain SIS (student information system) alignment with enrollment data
- Distribute progress reports and report cards
- Lead absenteeism reduction efforts
- Coordinate rostering and scheduling of NWEA MAP assessments
- Manage enrichment (Title IV) and before/after‑school programs
- Co‑develop staff coverage plans with the Principal
Maximize student enrollment and strengthen retention.
- Monitor daily enrollment pipeline with Operations Assistant and Operations Coordinator
- Lead new student enrollment and re‑enrollment campaigns
- Implement Network Best Practices for enrollment and retention
- Plan and execute community and recruitment events
- Build relationships with community partners to support enrollment growth
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming school environment.
- Manage building and technology tickets to resolution
- Oversee contracted cleaning services
- Conduct monthly facilities walkthrough with Net Ops Team
- Coordinate safety drills and complete EMT reports with Principal
- Co‑author and maintain Emergency Operations Plan
Support academic and operational success through accurate data.
- Complete all required Diocese, State, and Network reports
- Diocese: SSS, FRPL, Mandated Services
- State: NPDS, ADM, Kinder Connect
- Network:
Metrics, Curriculum Inventory & Purchasing, BOY Tracker - Track student attendance and enrollment accurately
- Support documentation collection and audit readiness
- Minimum 5 years of work experience; education operations preferred
- Experience working in a school setting (teacher, administrator, etc.) strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; post‑graduate degree preferred
- Passion for Catholic education and urban school transformation
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, and operational systems
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong customer service orientation
