ACCEL Schools seeks highly qualified Virtual Intervention Specialists to provide a superior education for all students. The role involves creating a rigorous and nurturing virtual classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social‑emotional development, while utilizing a cutting‑edge 21st‑century curriculum available online and through traditional methods.

The Intervention Specialist supports the educational and behavioral goals of all students, with a focus on those with an Individualized Education Program.

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, assessing the abilities and disabilities of students and assisting with classroom intervention strategies.
• Modify บ้าน general education curriculum as necessary and assist students with regular class assignments.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Work toward all goals related to student achievement, culture and state achievement targets.
• Use research‑based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Serve as advisor for a designated set of students.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social‑emotional growth.
• Plan and participate in non‑instructional activities such as social events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist license.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in a full‑room inclusion or co‑teaching/resource‑room model.

• High‑quality written and verbal communication skills.

• Pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI).

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $41,000–$50,000, depending on geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
