Per the East Cleveland Education Association (ECEA) negotiated contract

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Proper and current certification to teach the appropriate content and grade levels
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse teaching team
• Willingness to grow as an educational leader
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Education or a related field
• At least 3 years of urban teaching experience
• Demonstrated success in raising student academic performance
• Experience in school leadership, culture building, coaching, and staff development

• Maximize learning time with a strong sense of urgency
• Have demonstrated academic success
• Show deep content mastery and continue growing in it
• Are committed to doing “whatever it takes” for student success
• Accept full accountability for ensuring students meet or exceed high academic standards

Other Duties:

• Additional tasks as assigned by building or central office administrators
• Use of standard office and classroom technology
• Travel between school sites or to professional meetings as needed
• Work in standard school/office environments
