Overview
The Department of Psychiatry at The Metro Health System, a teaching hospital affiliated with Case Western Reserve University, is seeking a board-certified (or board-eligible) psychiatrist to join our Interventional Psychiatry team.
ResponsibilitiesBased at our main campus, this role includes responsibilities across Consult, Emergency, Inpatient, and Interventional Psychiatry services with a primary focus on Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), and the potential to incorporate Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Esketamine treatment. Candidates with experience or certification in ECT are strongly preferred. The position offers opportunities for clinical program development, teaching, and academic collaboration within a multidisciplinary and mission-driven environment.
BehavioralHealth Services
The Metro Health System has a strong commitment to expanding access to behavioral health care across the region. A 112-bed behavioral health hospital in Cleveland Heights features specialized adult units including geropsychiatry, psychiatric intensive care, dual diagnosis, mood, and thought disorders. A dedicated Psychiatric Emergency Department is now operational on the Cleveland Heights campus. Additional services including an adolescent unit and partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient programs are in development, further supporting a comprehensive, system-wide continuum of care.
While this position is based at the main campus, it is closely connected to system-wide behavioral health services, including those at Cleveland Heights, allowing for collaboration across inpatient, emergency, and interventional care settings.
