Overview
The Metro Health System in Cleveland, Ohio, is accepting applications for a full-time academic surgeon in the Division of Trauma, Critical Care, Burns and Acute Care Surgery. Successful candidates should be board-certified/eligible in General Surgery and have additional qualifications in Burn Care. Certification/Eligibility in Critical Care is strongly preferred. The candidate will have an opportunity to advance into a leadership role in the burn unit if desired with protected administrative time.
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a full-time faculty commitment from surgeons interested in providing high quality care to our patients and who have a strong interest in teaching. We have a dedicated 8-bed burn unit with plans to expand to 12 beds in the future and a busy burn clinic with a long history of leadership in burn care in the region. Ideally the candidate will be interested in practicing mainly in burn care (75-100% of their clinical time), however there is opportunity in other aspects of acute care surgery including trauma/emergency general surgery call and surgical critical care if desired but not required.
