Medical Doctor, Healthcare Consultant, Internal Medicine Physician, Primary Care Physician
We are an established medical practice serving Indianapolis and the surrounding area that specializes in evaluations for patients with swallowing disorders. We currently need additional physicians to join our group. Full‑time and part‑time positions are available and all physicians with a range of experience levels are encouraged to apply. During training the physician will be compensated.
The practice is part of a network that includes sister practices in New England and Texas. Professional Imaging started in Houston in March 2005 and has expanded to all of eastern Texas. Our monthly census is approximately 2,300 patients and our staff of 70 includes physicians, speech‑language pathologists, and support staff.
Benefits and annual income for working 4‑5 days a week are roughly $160,000 to $225,000 or more, depending on volume. Health insurance, a 401k retirement plan, and an educational stipend are available. There is no weekend or night call, and malpractice insurance (including tail coverage) is paid for by the practice. In over 400,000 evaluations in a 19‑year period we have never had a single malpractice inquiry or action.
Midwest Dysphagia Consultants’ mission is to provide professional dysphagia consultations, including modified barium swallows, for patients who have swallowing difficulties. Our consultations are delivered using a mobile unit shown on our website. Various facilities, private offices, and home‑bound patients request our mobile office for swallowing studies. Requests are routed through our office staff and scheduled 95% of the time within 24‑72 hours, sometimes the same day depending on volume and location.
We aim to have our staff home between 4:00 and 5:00PM each day.
If you are interested, please e‑mail me a copy of your CV and, if possible, a phone number. You may also call me. If we agree, I would like to invite you to join us on the van to ride along and observe our practice firsthand. I also suggest visiting our website or Professional Imaging for more information.
Sincerely, Nat Baumer, MD
