The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System (VANEOHS) is seeking a full-time Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to support the Heart Failure and Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) program through the provision of care in outpatient clinics, acute inpatient units including the CICU, heart failure consult service throughout the year (rotating weekly coverage with 2 other heart failure cardiologists), and long-term care units affiliated with the Cleveland VA.
The role involves supervision and evaluation of residents and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Qualified candidates will have robust clinical experience in managing advanced heart failure patients, cardiogenic shock including mechanical circulatory support, post-heart transplant recipient patients, and destination therapy LVAD patients, will be expected to perform invasive hemodynamics in the catheterization lab (left, cors, and right heart catheterization with exercise hemodynamics), and must be BC/BE in Cardiology. This is an academic position where the candidate is expected to collaborate with a productive academic heart failure research group and possess a demonstrated background in heart failure research with expertise in epidemiology and VA electronic healthcare records.
