Position OverviewPremier Smiles Orthodontics is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting our orthodontists in delivering high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, clinically confident, and passionate about creating positive patient experiences. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient clinical operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper setup for patient appointments
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments in accordance with OSHA and infection control standards
- Take digital impressions, X-rays, and assist with bonding/debonding procedures as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and post-treatment instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and support clinical documentation
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Support team collaboration to ensure a smooth and positive patient flow
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) required
- Orthodontic assisting experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, orthodontic procedures, and infection control protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
