Responsibilities

• Provide chair‑side clinical support and assistance to doctors and hygienists, including charting, operatory set‑up/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health history, make chart entries under the doctor’s direction, and ensure completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Review the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepare patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, maintain chain of asepsis, and assist dentists during procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Expose and develop dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follow OSHA regulations, HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X‑ray, and other required certifications and registrations.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or relevant on‑the‑job training.
• 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• Radiography/X‑ray certification for the respective state.
• CPR certification required.
• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
