Construction Estimator

Join one of the leading property development and management companies who is seeking a Construction Estimator!

• Partner with internal stakeholders and external trade partners during early project phases to shape pricing packages, clarify scope expectations, and resolve pre-bid questions.
• Translate technical plans and specifications into detailed cost models by performing digital quantity takeoffs and evaluating labor, materials, and schedule impacts.
• Develop benchmark-based cost assumptions by leveraging prior project data, comparable builds, and system-level analysis when complete pricing is unavailable.
• Coordinate the solicitation, tracking, comparison, and normalization of subcontractor proposals to support executive review and client‑facing budget discussions.
• Support downstream project execution by aligning estimating outputs with construction teams, maintaining vendor databases, and advising on cost risks tied to labor and material market conditions.

• Demonstrated experience (typically 5+ years) in construction estimating or project planning, ideally within Design Build and an integrated design‑construction environment.
• Strong working knowledge of building assemblies, construction techniques, and industry‑standard estimating tools and documentation.
• Proven ability to interpret complex construction documents and contribute meaningfully to constructability and scope validation discussions.
• High level of professionalism with strong analytical judgment, negotiation capability, and the communication skills needed to explain assumptions and tradeoffs.
• Ability to work on‑site on a daily basis at a facility located in Northeast Ohio, between the Cleveland and Akron areas.
