Summary:
Equalis Group is seeking a Director, Food & Nutrition Solutions, responsible for promoting Equalis Group's, Public Sector cooperative contract program within the Food & Nutrition Solutions portfolio working with purchasing individuals from cities, counties, k-12, state, higher ed, private sector, and non-profits. This role will also work collaboratively with awarded supply partners to develop and implement strategies that drive increased adoption of Equalis Group's, Food & Nutrition Solutions contract portfolio.
This role will report to the Area VP and should expect to travel up to 50% of the time.
Beneficial skills and experience include sales or customer engagement, customer prospecting, food and nutrition knowledge preferably in the K-12 space, public sector procurement, cooperative purchasing, project management, interpersonal and relationship management, presentations and group facilitation, and a strong ability to learn and operate in a fast-paced environment.
Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Supplier/Category Optimization & Sales Expansion
:
- Build, strengthen, and expand strategic relationships across Equalis Group’s broadline food service and janitorial supplies distribution contract portfolio.
- Develop and execute a sales plan for the Food & Nutrition Solutions category.
- Maintain and grow revenues through new member adoption of contracts to meet sales and revenue plans
- Train supplier sales representatives on Equalis Group and their company’s Equalis Group contract.
- Regularly engage with supplier sales leadership and regional/local sales teams to secure early sales wins and drive contract revenue.
- Support supplier sales efforts with customers to help close business.
- Ensure all parties are working in harmony to drive success through the contractual partnerships.
Job Qualifications and Experience
- This position is virtual and only requires reasonable access to travel across the country as needed.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within broadline food service and/or janitorial supply distribution, with a proven track record of actively developing and growing a sales territory through new business development and relationship management within K-12, colleges, and universities.
- At least four years' experience working for or with Cooperatives, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), or other related industries.
- Energetic and enthusiastic; comfortable working in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment and enjoys building lasting relationships.
- Self-motivated, results oriented, with the ability to work in a remote environment.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Strong organizational skills.
