Airport Administrator Assistant – Executive Office
Under general direction, performs major daily and project/program based administrative duties. Recommends and administers divisional/departmental policies and procedures. Prepare regular and special reports related to divisional/departmental operations. Performs other job‑related duties as required.
ResponsibilitiesUnder administrative direction, reports to the Director’s Executive Administrative Assistant and provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to Assistant Directors within the Executive Suite, ensuring efficient daily operations. Responsibilities include coordinating calendars, meetings, communications, travel, expense reporting, and supporting executive‑level reports while maintaining strict confidentiality. The role supports internal communications, document preparation, records management, procurement tracking, and departmental reporting; serves as a liaison between leadership and internal and external stakeholders;
assists with events, training materials, and special projects; and supports compliance with city policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. Additional duties are performed as assigned in support of a collaborative and professional work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Public Relations or closely related field from a four‑year accredited college or university. Substitution:
Two (2) years of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for each year of college education lacking. - Two years of full‑time paid experience in government or private industry office administration.
- Must be able to operate a personal computer with Microsoft Office Suites.
- Must successfully complete a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) 10‑year fingerprint‑based Criminal History Records Check and employment background check and Security Threat Assessment.
- Must be able to pass a pre‑employment physical and drug test.
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 35 pounds.
- A valid State of Ohio Driver’s License is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience working in an airport or municipality.
