Overview

Job Description

The Operations Assistant, Part-Time performs a combination of clerical duties that require knowledge and application of various work methods and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, issue and send out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements and checks.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.
  • Answer telephones, convey messages and run errands.
  • Issue licenses, permits, certificates, writs, or other legal documents and/or titles.
  • Adjust complaints.
  • Operate various office machines.
  • Transfer information from reports, code numerically and post to prepared code sheet, ledger or journal.
  • Work in a team setting to accomplish departmental goals.
  • Stamp or number forms by hand or machine and photocopy documents.
  • Tabulate and post data in record books.
  • Type or enter information into the computer to prepare correspondence.
  • Receive and issues receipts for payments on licenses, permits, certificates, bonds, service, etc.
  • Prepare envelops and packages for mailing.
  • Open and route incoming mail, answer correspondence and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Count, weigh, check, analyze, measure and/or classify material.
  • Proofread records or forms, sort and file records and index records and information.
  • Conduct limited research.
Requirements Education
  • High School Diploma / GED
Experience
  • Prior experience in the transportation industry
  • Prior typing/data entry and clerical skills
Computer Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Details Work Hours
  • This is a part time position that will average 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

Compensation
  • This is a hourly position paid bi-weekly.
