LHH is hiring a Plant Controller for a Manufacturing Client in the Cleveland area. The Plant Controller is a key member of the plant leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions at the plant level. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, cost control, budgeting, and strategic financial planning to support operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all financial operations of the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
• Partner with plant management to analyze operational performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance analyses.
• Monitor inventory levels, standard costs, and production variances.
• Support capital expenditure planning and tracking.
• Collaborate with corporate finance teams on audits, tax filings, and strategic initiatives.
• Provide financial leadership in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance or plant accounting.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
